We’re feeling very excited here at Parker Knoll as Autumn is approaching. With the dawn of a new season comes a brand new excuse to refresh your home décor!

In this week’s blog we’re taking inspiration from the fashion world – taking a look at the key looks from A/W 2017, and how these will translate into the latest interior design trends for next season.

Glitz & Glamour

Fashionistas are predicting the revival of Saturday night discos and dressing up in the daytime – even if you’re just popping to the shops.

This is a look that can be elegantly translated into your home, and is one of our favourites here at Parker Knoll.

Create this look by using metallic silver as your main theme. Add accessories with strong black lines to break up the look, and heather hues to soften the impact.

Transparent raincoats and mesh layered jackets were all over the Autumn 2017 catwalks, and this is no exception when it comes to interiors trends.

Clear glass tables are ideal if you want to lightly modernise your classic styling. Choose a table with transparent glass and a delicate metal frame, to give the illusion of space and reduce the chance of the scheme looking cluttered.

We have seen the vintage look featured frequently in fashion and interiors throughout 2017, and the trend doesn’t seem to be loosing momentum.

Monochrome accents are becoming increasingly popular in both fashion and home interiors. Simple patterns are versatile, and can create a retro spin on any existing scheme.

Block colours are the key to nailing this look. Pair with subtle pastel tones to create a hint of excitement to a neutral décor, or vibrant primary colours to achieve something a little more daring.
