Colours of the Year 2017: Pantone and Dulux

New year, new trends!

Last year, Pantone announced that the emerging colour palette for 2016 was a peaceful blend of Rose Quartz and Serenity – which we saw amidst the latest interiors across living room, bathroom and accessories.

Pantone and Dulux’s ‘Colours of the Year’,  are both calming and refreshing, reflecting the trend in creating relaxing spaces that promote rejuvenation.

Denim Drift

Dulux’s Denim Drift is a refreshing extension of 2016’s elegant combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity. This versatile palette of soft pastel blues will suit all styles and interior décor, making it the perfect canvas to create a sense of tranquility.

Infuse soft blue hues with French grey tones to add a touch of colour to a neutral scheme. Our Montana Two Seater in Oliver Light Blue, and Como Slate, makes the ideal combination to achieve this look. If you’re after a more dramatic effect, why not mix and match darker shades with copper accents?

The inspiration for this colour palette surfaces from our emerging desire to reconnect with the natural world around us. Pantone predicts that we will see this being reflected in our interior design choices throughout 2017.

Greenery brings with it a sense of peace and tranquillity that can give new life to a once dull, dark space. Inject splashes of colour with a bright lime that pops, or introduce muted tones to a neutral palette for a more subtle look.
